lOCATION
An old structured house situated in an area far away from houses. From the house being styled in an old fashion would give the audience more sense of mystery
Our location is an isolated 16th century old house which hold a lot of history. This is a brilliant location for our horror as for using an house with lots of history allows us to use the history in our story line as we based our horror on spirits from the past coming back to life. From the history not being good would make the storyline more interesting ,terrible places have terrible histories (clover)L.R
TIME OF DAY & Lighting
We decided to film at dusk as this is a period where it is getting dark but light enough to still see the surrounding. This allowed us to be able to give a sense of mystery while filming as you could see sightly what was happening in the surroundings. This commonly happens in paranormal films as things start to happen when it starts to get dark for example things move, ghosts appear.
We decided to have a dimmed lighting in order to give the trailer a sense of still being in a house but a bit mysterious. For our outside shots we decided to film when it was dusk so when its beginning to get dark but still aware of whats happening in the shots. Also for our titles we have use a firey background as it contrasrs with the rest of light in our shot i.e the candles L.R

CharACTERS
The table above is of our orignal cast L.R
From our audience feedback we decided to have only 2 ghosts with 5 cast members in total as it was shown to be most effective. From having less spirits makes it more unexpected. In the cast we have 3 victims which would allow more things to be able to happen to different people at different times as well as giving it more of a story.L.R
costume design
We have chose for our victims to wear casual clothes as we feel the audience can connect with the characters and relate themselves to them .Both of our ghost wore white face make up to make them look more ghostly ,one of our ghosts wore white contacts to look more frightful towards the audience, howevers we decided the younger ghost should not wear contacts as we thought a child would look more innocent and that a little ghost boys innocence can me shown in a more scary was as the audience woud not know what to expect from him. we also decided that our ghost girl should wear a long hospital gown as this gives the impression she died from and illness or may have escaped from a mental home as we think this can leave the audience guessing on how she might of died L.R

CASTING
We first decided to have 3 ghosts with two victims however soon decided it would be more effective if different things happened to certain characters at different times therefore we changed the casting to 3 vitims and 2 ghosts. Another reason we decided to keep 5 characters within the trailer is because the majority of people in the audience research believed this was the right amount of people to feature in the trailer
We have chosen Oscar to be our ghost boy in our trailer as he is of young age and think using a child will help make our trailer seem more creepy and ghostly.
We have to decided to use Jessie as another ghost as this makes the audience aware that there is more than one ghost in the house making it seem eerie and more scary, in our trailer we have her creeping up the stairs to make it look like she is coming to get someone and also have her walking around in the dark outside which makes it seem more mysterious as she looks like a ghostly figure.
Also have used two teenage girls, one is a more stereotype victim with blonde hair and the other with dark hair and features who could appear to be the final girl in a horror film, however in our trailer the see the brunette be dragged and creeped up on this gives the impression that the ghosts have got her first, this shows the reversal of the blonde as usually in a horror the first victim is blonde.
As most of our characters are within the same age group we decided to use and adult in the shots of using the Ouija board, this can let the audience know that its not just young teenage girls that are the main target and that are in danger from the ghosts

From the planning pictures it shows how we made the ouija board for our trailer as well as how the makeup is been done and the contacts are applied. We made the ouija board by sticking an print out ouija board on to a large piece of cardboard. For the makeup we used basic white facepaint/ pale foundation and tactum powder for the white face effect continuing on to use black eyeliner for under the eye to make it look black with black eye shadown on top for whole dark eye look. L.R
Props
For the props in the video we used an standard kitchen knife as this would be a commonly used weapon in a horror situated in an house. In order for the knife to not to cut the neck we applied an thick layer of celetape on the knife edge. For the blood we used fairyliquid blood recipe.L.R
.
We origianally decided to use a knife as one of our props used in our trailer however we soon changed our minds as we decided it would be more effective and spooky to use an ouija board for our trailer
Our final tagline idea is ''Dont cross the line '' as when you cross the line you can't make the spirits go away L.R V.M
This is our production company we created. We decided to create a production company to brand our trailer to show how it was our own as well as a company the audience would recognized from producing other films.
This short video shows how we experimented with shots to find our which ones looked most effective
We belived this was our final titles as we believed this is effective as it involves all the typical ghostly colours within as well as it moving at a slow pace however from the main iconic symbol being the candles we decided to colour correct the titles to an orange. L.R V.M
Above we colour corrected our title this colour to represent the candles
Script
Originally for our voiceover we had our own voices but however we both felt that having a childs lullaby was more effective and linked well as one of our characters is a child also makes the rest of the trailer seem more eerie and odd. Another reason we decided to change it was because it adds effect to the trailer as you don't know they've there until they suddenly appear. L.R
Risk Assessment
Possible Hazards that could occur
Danger with the knife
Victoria could get cut with the knife whilst in full use by the person using it not being careful of if Victoria shows any movement could cause the knife to press into her chest causing deep and serious wounds.
Burning of Candles
Everyone is at possible risks with the flame of the candles if not handled with care can lead to burns and possible a fire if one of the candles was to be dropped or knocked over. As a younger child is involved extra care, awareness, responisility is needed.
Tripping over due to the stairs and steps
On the steps that lead into the cellar everyone has to be aware and safer ensuring they do not trip of fall over as this can lead to bruises, pain and possibly lead to fractures or broken bones. Also Jessie has to be safe and aware on the stairs when crawling up and down as she could possibly miss a step and bang her head.
If any of these situations do take place we will deal with what is necessary and will make sure any injured person is the first and main priority
Evaluate the risks and decide on precaution
To eliminate as much risk as possible we would have to be careful with every task undertook. We tried to do this with the knife by covering the sharp edges with cellotape which covers the sharp edges against her neck as well as it was invisible therefore you wouldn't see the safety precaution. In order to prevent risk on the candles we would keep them away from anything flammable as well as keep an eye on them. With the aspect of tripping down the stairs or steps we would take them slowly watching every step as this would eliminate as much risk as possible of falling down them as if you was rushing then you be more likely to trip.
Record your findings
*Checks on to see if the surroundings are flammable*Checks on any potential hazards
*Any hazards removed
*Checks done every time filming is going to take place
*Candles watched at all points while filming
*Knife is checked for sharpness
*Character are checked to see if they have any allergies
*Stairs are took at a slow pace to eliminate any trips
*All risks are checked frequently
*Equipment is checked frequently
*Anything which could be tripped over is removed
Review the assessment
*Any new equipment is checked before use
*Any new products is checked before use
*Checks to be frequently done L.R

Draft trailer
We produced an draft trailer in order to see what shots could be improved to make the trailer look better to the viewer. From this it also allowed us to become more techinal with the shots as we could expierment with different clips, pace, effects and soundtrack. From looking at the shots taken in the practice film would allow us to develop the shots in order to achieve an high standard. This also let us build on our planning and research of our trailer as it allowed us to see from our research what could be worked on to be made better and what went well and what didn't go so well from our planning pieces.L.R V.M
