Iconic font
In our trailer we used an iconic font to create a clear indication on brand identity in our trailer.We chose the the font to be simple and to be white as the white relates to ghosts and spirits and a ghostly atmosphere as well as putting the white font onto a black and orange background would make the font stand out to the audience as well as allowing the orange background to stand out to represent the candles .Also in our poster and magazine we have used red for our text as this symbolises blood and death relating to horror.
Characters
Our main character are important as it defines the genre to the audience ,in paranormal horror it is always young teenage girls who get into trouble and don't take much responsibility.We paid homage to the women in black with our shot of our victim looking out an old fashioned window with the ghost boy behind her. We chose to show more of the dark haired girl as this breaks convection of the final girls as the blonde is usually first to die and the commonly seen victim as they are known to be dumb and to not know what going to happen next

In our trailer we used the iconic symbols of the candles and the Ouija board ,which we included on our poster .We have our ghost boy holding a character with the ouija board faded in the background to give a clear impression of the genre and indicate to the audience what the storyline may be.Below we have used Jigsaw Planet to help you get an understanding of how we used our iconic symbols within our trailer and how they worked well together to help create a brand.

Colours and lighting
For our trailer we also used the light of the candles to create a ghostly atmosphere , the shots of the candles blowing out to become dark to show that there is an unknown presence .We also used colour corrector to darken and lighten the shots to how we wanted to show the difference in lighting. By using the candle and hardly any light would make the viability reduced this gave the audience less chance to see what was coming and what was going to happen next, this is common in horror as you wouldn't known what was going to happen next or appear.
actors
The use of having the leading actresses name on our poster as it is used throughout the movie industry .Most films usually do this as it distracts the audience from the actual audience movie to make money.
